This is a follow-up of feeling like I completely bombed Day 3 of my recent free Boundaries Workshop.
The quick recap of that experience was I got hit w/a bunch of unpleasant emotions just before starting the presentation. I can normally compartmentalize my various emotional “spikes” but this time I wasn’t able to.
Kari, who is an EQ Mafia member & attended the Boundaries workshop, shared that me, as the presenter, doesn’t determine the value that the audience got from the workshop. Essentially, that “beauty (or in this case “value”) is in the eye of the beholder”. It was encouraging to hear but also challenging.
Debbie, who also attended the Boundaries workshop, shared that God still has a way of teaching us lessons even when we don’t feel like it was that good. She asked me “How many sermons have you listened to that weren’t that good, but God still revealed stuff to you?”
Some really challenging thoughts.
Then, literally after the Day 3 “bomb”, 3 Boundaries attendees unsolicited sent me really specific, encouraging feedback from the workshop. It was humbling & encouraging.
Our emotions can be deceiving.
